DRAFT LETTER TO LOCAL NEWSPAPERS
On 1 April 1933, the Nazi’s started the process of dehumanising the Jewish people.
It started with the German people being told to boycott Jewish shops, and ended with tattooed numbers on arms replacing names, heads being shorn and the gas chambers.
If we do not learn from the mistakes of history, we are destined to repeat them, and it is with great sadness that I must report that we have not learned the lessons of history.
Groups who think that they are supporting the Palestinian people are calling for boycotts of Jewish people, Jewish businesses and the world’s only Jewish state, Israel.
It is a scandal but thankfully our government is saying NO, and will this year introduce legislation that will outlaw local boycotts.
Can I ask your readers to show their solidarity for this process.
Ask our local MP to pledge his support for this legislation at www.israelbritain.org.uk/STOPBDS.
